HC/DJ - near fine/very good. Blue cloth hardcover is clean with slight wear/bumping at corners. Pages are clean and intact, with no markings. Light age tanning to pages and inside covers. Dustjacket has light edgewear, a few tiny edge tears, age tanning and light soiling, crease rear flap, not price clipped. . In 1971 the author, then British Ambassador to Uraguay, was kidnapped whilst riding in an Embassy car. He was pistol whipped, handcuffed, drugged and taken to a Tupamaro hideout to be confined in a wire cage. Sir Geoffrey relates the incredible events he endured and the psychology of the hooded men and women who held him captive for 244 days.... (505,0315) ; 8vo; 226 pages
