Signed by author on title page. Hardcover is clean, tight & unmarked other than light soiling to outer edge of pages, light wear/bumping to spine ends. Jacket has slight edgewear, no tears, light age tanning inside edges, not clipped. 190 pages. In 1919 young Peggy Holmes arrived in Canada with one of the first contingents of World War I brides, bound for Northern Alberta to homestead in the bush country near St. Lima.. Pioneering in the Canadian wilderness was far removed from the comfortable existence Peggy had known growing up in Kingston-upon-Hull, England, but she brought to it all the joy of living that still characterizes her today at 82 (when the book was written).....; 8vo; Signed by Author
