Red HC with gold lettering & decoration is very clean, with minimal edge & corner wear, slight soiling to outer edge of pages, interior clean & tight. First blank endpage has pencilled name/date and small tear at the bottom. Yellow/black & b/w illustrations & frontispiece by Nicolson. 192 pages. DJ bright & clean on front, a little soiling/scuffing on back, edgewear with a few small chips/tears, not price clipped. When Commander Pilchard lent Frank and John his hut in a lonely part of the Cheviot Hills for their holiday, he asked them to keep him informed about anything out-of-the-ordinary that they might see happening.
