1969 reprint. HC/DJ - VG/Good. Hardcover is clean and tight - appears to have been from the Canadian Wildlife Service library and has a back pocket and a couple CWS stamps. Book is otherwise unmarked with only light wear at corners. Jacket has fading at spine, a few tiny edge tears, light edgewear and a partially peeled area to lower spine where a sticker may have been removed, front flap is clipped. Well illustrated in b/w; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 416 pages; A Manual of Aquatic Plants can be said to be a classic; it made the identification of aquatic plants in sterile as well as in flowering or fruiting condition as simple as possible, and covers a region from Minnesota to Missouri and eastward to the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Virgina. Norman C. Fassett was professor of botany and curator of the Herbarium at the University of Wisconsin from 1925 to 1954. He was a pioneer in preserving habitat of the rich and diverse flora of Wisconsin. He is also the author of Spring Flora of Wisconsin and Grasses of Wisconsin both published by the University of Wisconsin Press. [890]
