HC/DJ - near fine/very good. Hardcover is clean with minimal wear to edges and corners. Dustjacket has light edgewear, light soiling/scuffing, not price clipped, small scribble in pen on front, crease across front flap and slight crease across first few pages. By the author of 'The End of the Running' & 'Mantrap'. "The big square house stood isolated in the swirling water of the lake. The water was there because of the dam, and the dam was there because of the people. It spelt progress, and power. But to the man who lived in the house, it spelt ruin, the loss of everything he had owned. Kelly was a stubborn old man who refused to get out, refused to be compensated by the government, and refused to sell to young Toro, who wanted the house desperately and was willing to pay almost any price for it..." (400noto) ; 8vo; 142 pages
